Come learn about next steps this year to improve transit megaproject delivery
The SFMTA Central Subway just opened after over a decade in construction and about $1.6 billion.
The BART Silicon Valley project may get better station access thanks to rider advocacy, but the cost is now over $9 billion.
What can be done to help transit megaprojects be designed better, delivered faster and more cost-effectively?
This week, join Seamless Bay Area, Transbay Coalition, and SPUR for the second part of a two-part workshop series focused on faster, more cost-effective, more rider-focused transit megaprojects.
This second session, happening Wednesday, January 18 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. PT, will focus on how you can help in the coming months this year to:
Strengthen decisions in MTC's upcoming major project advancement policy in early 2023;
Support an integrated, cost-effective, rider-focused network being planned in 2023 that has the potential to be the focus of an upcoming regional ballot measure; and
Support next steps in 2023 toward seamlessly integrated regional rail service.
Click here to register for the Zoom webinar on Wednesday, January 18, 12-1pm. We hope to see you there.
The first session focused on understanding and recognizing the common challenges in project planning and delivery for megaprojects. To catch up on that event, see the video here.
