Experts discuss benefits of centralized transit network management at Seamless panel
Last week, Seamless Bay Area brought together a dynamic panel of experts for a webinar about the features and benefits of centralized transit network management in the Bay Area and around the world.
Featuring Paul Lewis, Vice President of Policy and Finance at the Eno Center for Transportation, Dr. Michelle DeRobertis of Transportation Choices for Sustainable Communities, Ian Griffiths of Seamless Bay Area, and moderator Ratna Amin, the conversation explored how centrally managed transit networks can provide riders with enhanced service, convenience, and accessibility.
Panelists discussed the shared qualities of high-performing centrally managed systems around the world and how they compare to the Bay Area, as well as the critical role of governance in regional transit. Panelists also discussed Seamless Bay Area’s April 2021 report Governing Transit Seamlessly.
