Join Bay Area transit riders and Transit Transformation Task Force members for a 'ride-along' prior to the June 17th SB 125 Task Force meeting in San Francisco.
Meet at 8:00am on June 17th at Latham Square (1615 Broadway) in downtown Oakland, one block from the 12th St/Oakland BART station. Participants will get to hear from riders and from agency staff about initiatives within the region’s Transit Transformation Action Plan, such as fare policy, transit priority, accessibility, funding, and other topics. The group will get the chance to ride different forms of transit to get to the Task Force meeting, including buses, rail, and ferries.

Approximate Itinerary:
8:00am - Meet at Latham Square, Oakland
8:15am - Introductions and Overview
8:40am - Depart to San Francisco in two groups
9:50am - Reconvene as a large group at MTC (375 Beale St.) in San Francisco, wrap-up discussion with riders
10:15am - Event ends
10:30am - Task Force meeting begins at MTC
This ride along is an optional public event being organized by transit advocacy groups in the Bay Area, including Seamless Bay Area, Public Advocates, San Francisco Transit Riders, Senior and Disability Action, and others.
Accessibility: The beginning point, Latham Square is an accessible flat public plaza. The end point, at MTC (375 Beale Street, San Francisco), is also an accessble location with no steps. The ride along portion between the two locations will involve a moderate amount of walking and involving taking different forms of public transportation.
