Bay Area Transit Month: A dynamic celebration of transit leadership and advocacy
That's a wrap on Bay Area Transit Month! Thank you to everyone who joined us over the last four-plus weeks to celebrate Bay Area transit and the leaders, workers, advocates, and riders who keep our region moving.
Seamless Bay Area was proud to be a lead organizer of Transit Month, putting together fun and informative events across the Bay Area. Over the last four weeks, Seamless staff, board members, and volunteers:
Worked with partners to organize the first-ever East Bay Transit Month kickoff rally at Latham Square in downtown Oakland.
Hosted a free webinar with urban planning expert Christof Spieler about how our transit system could be more seamless, rider-friendly, and accessible to all.
Held a virtual game night to showcase (and play!) Connect the Bay, our region's first-ever seamless transit board game.
Organized a rolling paRRty on Caltrain celebrating the passage of Measure RR in November 2020 - an effort we were instrumentally involved in.
Co-hosted Transit Month's capstone event, the Rider First Awards, where we honored transit operators, local officials, and the region's most dedicated riders and advocates for everything they do to make the Bay Area transit system better, every day.
Engaged dozens of local and state officials and transit leaders to build support for more integrated and accessible transit.
As you might imagine, offering this type of engaging and *free* programming requires financial resources as well as staff and volunteer time. If you think these types of events and advocacy opportunities are as important as we do, show your support by making a donation to Seamless Bay Area. Your donations help us make real, measurable progress towards our ambitious goal of a seamlessly integrated transit system.
All donations, no matter the size, make a huge difference to our lean, grassroots-powered organization. We're honored to have your support, and we hope you feel proud of the momentum we're building together.
